Mr. William P. Moore is appointed as the first administrator of SDCH at its start in 1961. Mr. Moore provided great leadership ability in the management of the hospital, as well as in professional and community activities and was administrator until July 1976. He then moved over to the newly constructed Lakeview Hospital as administrator.
Mr. Moore returned “home” to SDCH to sit on its board of directors beginning in 2003 and served as its chairman from July 2012 to June 2018.
