South Davis Community Hospital Child Care Center is committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where each child’s health, safety, and early education are our top priorities. Through free play, structured activities, and meaningful interaction with our caring staff, we help children reach their fullest intellectual, physical, social, and emotional potential while fostering school readiness, a love of learning, and strong social skills that build self-esteem, confidence, and independence.
Our curriculum includes a theme each week that the class will focus on. Lesson plans will include activities that will help the children learn and grow in the four development areas: social/emotional development, physical development, cognitive development, and language development. All children will also work on basic “skill-set” for preschoolers which consist of letters, numbers, colors and shapes with activities designed so that each child can participate at their own level of capability. Children will have opportunities for outside activities as weather and air quality allows. Holiday traditions and activities are an important part of our culture; therefore, the curriculum will reflect traditional American holidays and some multi-cultural celebrations.
